Biography

Dr. Huma Mamun Mahmud is a highly experienced Specialist Nephrologist with 28 years of medical expertise in nephrology and internal medicine. Since 2017, she has been serving at SEHA, Abu Dhabi, where she provides comprehensive renal care, specializing in chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis management, glomerular diseases, and electrolyte disorders. Dr. Mahmud earned her Fellowship in Nephrology (2004) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, Karachi University, after completing her M.B.B.S. Her career includes pivotal roles in clinical nephrology, teaching, and research, contributing significantly to renal care advancements in the region. Before joining SEHA, she worked as a Specialist Nephrologist at Life Care Hospital, Musaffah, Abu Dhabi (2014-2017) and served as an Assistant Professor at Dow University of Health Sciences (2011-2014), where she played a key role in medical education and training. She also gained extensive hands-on experience as a Registrar at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (2004-2008), honing her expertise in dialysis therapies and kidney transplantation. Dr. Mahmud is dedicated to delivering patient-centered nephrology care, ensuring the best possible outcomes through evidence-based treatments, early disease detection, and personalized management plans.
