Biography

Dr. Hormaz Dara Dastoor is a highly experienced Consultant in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, with over 27 years of expertise in renal care, dialysis therapies, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) management. Currently serving at SEHA Kidney Care (since 2020), he plays a pivotal role in advancing nephrology services and patient care standards in the UAE. Dr. Dastoor earned his M.D. in General Medicine (1992) from Albert St. George University and has held multiple leadership positions throughout his career. He previously served as Department Head at Al Rahba Hospital (2015-2020) and Mafraq Hospital (2007-2015), overseeing the development of specialized nephrology programs and patient care protocols. His tenure as Senior Consultant at Tawam Hospital (2000-2005) and New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell in New York City (1997-1999) provided him with global expertise in nephrology and internal medicine. With a patient-centered approach and extensive clinical knowledge, Dr. Dastoor specializes in dialysis management, glomerular diseases, electrolyte disorders, and transplant nephrology.
